    Sueing Daughter
I am disabled from many chronic illnesses and have been mostly bedridden for 15 yrs. After my divorce I moved to FL and my daughter wanted to come with me. I am on SSID and I had a suv under her name. She tricked me into selling it and promised to buy me a used truck. The money from my suv was used to move out of state. Then after a few months in the new state she left me in the middle of the night with some of my things with her fiancé and left her 2 cats,me without a phone, etc. I was homeless in a wheelchair. I ended up living with a stranger for 2 weeks and this stranger stole all my household belongings about $30,000.00 worth along with precious family photos, etc.
Can I sue my daughter who abandoned me for a truck? Nothing was in writing. But my other daughter knows about it. Can I get anything for pain and suffering, because I suffered a few heart failures from the ordeal and stress of trying to live, sick, still recovering from a surgery, etc. I loved those cats like they were mine and the lady I lived with for 2 weeks killed one of them. Is there anything I can do?

If the SUV was in your daughter's name, then it was her truck to do with as she wished.

Nor is she responsible for the actions of this woman who abused you. You need to swear out a criminal waarrant against that woman.

Frankly, I don't think you have much grounds to sue your daughter.

You have to contact the local police where the crime took place.

I thought it was only a civil matter and I would have to take her to court? SO it is not? I am very ill and bedridden in tx. It happened in OK. Do I have to go to OK for this after I call the police in OK?

If she stole from you, that's a criminal matter. You may have to go to OK to press charges at some point.
