    Pregnancy symptoms
Hello, I'm 26 and always had a regular period. I'm now 10 days late. For the past two weeks I've had all the pregnancy symptoms fagtigue, and nausea. When I was 6 days late I had both urine and blood test which was negative. My doctor says he think I could still be pregnant and wants to test in the next 5 days. I'm now still very fagtigue and also just started having cramps all day. My blood test was -5. and when I did another urine test the negative line was faint. The first one was very clear. So could I be pregnant? What does The -5 means.

The blood test you took would have been a quantitative one which looks at the actual amount of hcg (human chorionic gonadotropin). A plus 5 would suggest you are pregnant, so it may have just been too early yet. The range of what is considered normal in hcg results will vary, but there should be a steady increase in the first several weeks of pregnancy.
Many home urine tests these days are actually quite sensitive, sometimes more so then what some doctors may use in their office and some even more sensitive than a qualitative blood test... which, like a urine test, states simply yes or no.

I honestly don't know what the -5 means but, I do know that yes you can still be pregnant. My mom is a labor and delivery nurse and she said you most likely are preggy and should just wait to take the test again.
    Good luck, amanda =)
