    2008 1099 Tax percentage
Hi, I am a college student, but took a summer internship that was considered 1099- employed. I do have other jobs, that are all considered W-2 employed. But, my question was when filing my taxes, what percentage should I expect to pay on that 1099 income?

    Any insight would be appreciated,

    Thank you!

The biggest difference between a 1099 job and a W-2 is the requirement to pay the 15.3% self-employment tax.

As to how the rest of the income is taxed, I would need to know the amounts.
