I took this English class in college, like, 4 years ago and we had to watch this movie and then write a paper about it. I really enjoyed the movie, but I can't remember what it was called or who was in it. Best I remember it was pretty much a no name cast. There was a man had curly dark brown hair and he wore this blue (or maybe white) tunic-type shirt with matching pants... I think it was supposed to be the uniform they had to wear in heaven or something and there was a woman who had blonde hair and she was really pretty (That's all I remember about her). It seemed to be made in the 80's or early 90's and it was about this man that died (I'm not sure how). He didn't know right away that he was dead. I think he rode a train to heaven and when he got there he met this woman that he fell in love with... it's been so long that I don't remember much else and I don't even know how it ended because I didn't see all of it. I'd like to finish it, but I don't even know where to begin looking. Is there anyone that can help me? Thanks for reading!

I can only remember part of the title;

"Heaven knows Mr....(somebody)"

The original was made in the 60's and a remake was I think in the 80's.

About a man that was taken to heaven but it was discovered that he was taken by mistake and he was given a chance to come back but as someone else... a comedy.

Not much help... huh?

The only I can remember is "Heaven Knows Mr. Jordan," but it's from 41 and the remake is from 78

Yes that is the one I was thinking of, it was a decent movie and quite funny. Missed on that one didn't I? But renewed my interest in this movie, think I will rent it...

YEEEEEEEEES, thank you Static... It was driving me crazy that I couldn't remember it. I can see the lead guy's face but for the life of me I can't remember his name... he also stared in "Shampoo."
