    Rock salt
    How do I use rock salt as a sewer cleaner and root killer, I mostly have a root block problem, need to be snaked every 3 months?been adivesed to use rock salt as a routin use against roots

    Your not going to like this but rock salt is going to kill a septic tank bio if you have one and then the drain field fills with solids and fails. Your line has a break in it and to keep throwing salt to get rid of root problems doesn't solve the problem. Find a plumber that has a camera that can be ran down that line to find the break and dig that spot up and fix the root problem
    By the time you pay every three months for a couple of years the actual problem would permanently be solved. Every 3 months is too much expensive and time.

    You dug up around the pipe and place the rock salt around the pipe to kill the roots. did that on the pipe from my house to the septic tank before
