    Fire from floor outlet
Can a fire start in a floor electrical outlet from water overspray from carpet cleaning? If so, is it possible for that to happen 5 days after the overspray occurred?

Well first off, water is not flammable, so I am not sure what you mean by starting a fire. Second, water is not as conductive as most people think. Something wet will NOT conduct enough current to heat something up to start a fire.

DO NOT believe what you see in the movies.
