    Another shower low pressure problem
I have read some of the other low pressure shower issues posted here but none seem quite the same. I don't have a one valve or three valve system. Mine is a two valve shower system... hot and cold. It is a shower, not a tub/shower.
My problem is that the hot water pressure is really bad. I suspect that old broken pieces of rubber washer/seats are clogging the hot water line downstream of the hot water valve (house built in late 1960;s). I just don't know how to clear the clog shy of tearing out the manifold and replacing. I could use some ideas. Thanks.

    Hi Mollie,
Have you tried shutting off the water and opening up the hot water side of the shower valve and then turning the water back on to flush out whatever's in there? Regards, Tom

I haven't. I'll try it. I'm not sure if that will help, though. The most likely blockage is old rubber... wouldn't that jam it up even more?

    Hey Duane,

You haven't much choice here. You either flush the pipes or learn to kive with it.

I have a stand-up shower in my basement that was put in about 3-4 years ago. I went to use it for the first time yesterday and the water only trickles out when turned to hot (works fine on cold). It is a single knob Moen system with no faucet, only a shower head. All other outlets in the house...

Low bath tub and shower pressure [ 2 Answers ]

We had a leak and some pipes had to be changed that lead to the shower head. We also had a new tub faucet installed. Pressure was low to both the shower and tub so we had the plumber return for an adjustment. It was OK for a while, but still not very much pressure. Several months passed and ...

No Pressure in Shower [ 2 Answers ]

This morning while taking a shower, I was greeted with a grumbling in the pipes and then a loss of pressure. Sink on the other side of the wall works fine, as does all other faucets in house. Not sure where to begin sorting out this problem, and welcome any suggestions.
