    New Quickbooks
    I have just installed Quickbooks Pro 2008 for a gravel company. Where do I begin to setup this late in the year? Does anyone have a chart of accounts template for this industry? They also have intermengeled in their company their personal finances and rentals, how do I handle all of this?

    Thank you for your response. I did wait to set up Quickbooks until 2009 but could still use help with getting a Chart of Accounts for this type of business and also anything that is personal I put under owner's draw and have setup a separate business up for the rentals to keep that separate from the gravel business. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused:

    Countrypaw... ok, if you've got the file set up I would suggest that you use the class tracking keep the two businesses separate. Also, I'm assuming that these are sole prop? Let me know if you need help with the class tracking. As far as the personal stuff, any personal expenses should be charged to the draw account. Did you find an acceptable COA?
