You can't force someone to be with you. You need to cut all contact with him. It sounds like that's why it gets worse and worse. Do you still text him? No more calling, no more texting, no emails or myspacing or facebooking or whatever. Find some things to do to pass the time, new hobbies, hanging out with friends, making new friends... anything to keep your mind off him. Why would you even want to be with someone that doesn't want to be with you? Hang in there, we all go through this at some point in our lives. It's how we deal with things that's different.

The real question is, "How did I lose him?" We too often ask, "How to get someone back?" when the real question lies in the consequences of the behaviour that cost you this relationship. Work on yourself, and, like Zoe said, leave him alone. Everything happens for a reason. (Had to spread the rep Zoe, but I totally agree with ya)

Whatever reason someone comes up with to break up never seems quite right. My ex dumped me because I relapsed over the thanksgiving holiday-sure I was a mess but I sobered up. I am not even sure that is the reason. The problem with trying to contact an ex is that you have expectations that they will respond. They may or may not, but it will drive you crazy thinking about it. If you can, just stay away-you may already regret the contact that you've had-maybe even feeling foolish. We're just human-we mess up. Good luck-i know it is tough.

You can't get or win someone back that doesn't want to be with you. It been 50 days but I think you messed up when you wanted to remain friends after the break-up. This wasn't a good idea and can only give you false hope. Sometimes people only remain friens with their ex because they think they can some how win them back and get frustrated when the plans fails.

The relationship that you had with him is over so let go and accept that it is over otherwise your going stay stuck in the same place your in now and this road leads to no where and can leave you an emotional wreck. It's a New Year so it not to late for a fresh start.
