When you turn the ignition ON, does the "Check Engine Light" stay on or does it go out after 2 seconds? During this period, can you hear the fuel pump run? How many miles are on your Civic?

My hypothesis is that you have a bad Engine Control Module (computer).

Many people want their most difficult automotive problems solved for free. However, they don't want to get involved in the process and give feedback, even though the problem solver attempted to help them. It's difficult to solve complex problems for someone else without their interaction-- it's also very unrewarding. It's a two-way street and most people only want to take. If people with problems would become more actively involved in the process and establish somewhat of a rapport with the problem solver, then more problems would get solved. This describes why you haven't received more helpful advice, even though attempts were made.

    Yeah true.

Read first the FAQ in the 1st page before start questioning.

I think its easy to understand. I too did not know anything about auto electricals until my car went bad and will not start.

I do not have so much money to spend on spare parts that will not make my car start. So I read and researched. Diagnosing your car problem is free and you can DIY. You can even install the parts yourself and save labor cost.

Necessity is the mother of invention. I like your attitude, kean.
