    Remove my brother's name from the deed on house
    My brother and I own a home together. He lives there. He is on drugs and has no job to pay for taxes, water bill and anything else. I want to sell it. I can not afford to maintain it.

    What type of deed do I need to have drawn up in Maryland?
    What steps do I need to take to remove his name from the deed?

    Ask him to sign a 'quit claim' deed to you (it will need to be filed in the court house) and ask him to leave.
