I previously wrote about my noisy Central Heating System & 2 cold radiators. However, since the system is brand new & is less than 6months old, the company came back although with reluctance & injected some solution into the radiators to stop them being noisy. The cold radiators are now working but the noise is still there & is unbearble! It is at its worst when the heating comes on in the morning. Aftet about an hour or two, it slightly settles down (but still noisy) To be honest, I no longer use my alarm clock in the morning. Instead, when the heating comes on, I know it is time to get up but for others it is a real problem. I don't want to trouble the company again. The noise is like humming & goes on & on quite loudly. I can hear a different kind of noise in upstairs radiators too. Since someone mentioned that new radiators do give out some kind of noise due to metal expanding, I want to know if it the same & how long will it be before it stops.

Metal expansion will never stop unless expansion joints are installed.

A hum type noise can indicate a water pump noise since it is low frequency in nature.

If the system is brand new and under warranty I would get it fix correctly now or you will have to pay $$$ later out of your own pocket.

If a hot water system is making noise something is wrong somewhere. Hot water baseboard type heat has always been known as one of the quitest forms of heat available since there is no powered air movement involved..
