    Cheap painting.
So me and the fella have decided to finally decorate the flat. Yes, very exciting, but also, it seems, very expensive, never before have I thought that a tub of paint can cost £30!
So, question time is - if anyone can help me, if anyone has found a great place to find cheaper materials e.g paints, curtains etc, then please let me know, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks :D:D:D

    Hi, squidzbak!

Are you two going to be really picky about the colors of the paints that you use?

    Thanks!

Okay, I can see that you're not logged onto the site anymore and I'm going to need to go.

What I was going to suggest was, that if you're not all that picky about the paint colors used, that many paint stores have mis-matched cans of paint that they need to sell and usually do so at a fraction of the original cost.

If you go to a paint store, you might ask them about that and look to see if any of those types of paints are close to colors that you might like.

I wish for you only the best!

    Thanks!

    Hi again, squidzbak!

I'm wondering what happened concerning your paint job, if you wouldn't mind sharing, please?

    Thanks!

Another possibility if you have a habit for humanity store which here is a place where many of us contractors take out left over materials and rehab tear outs to the "recycling building materials" and get a little money from it. Maybe some left over paint is there. I have rentals and that's a good place to find odd things and left over. Clough had an excellent Idea also and we do that at times and even negotiate the opps mixed can price. The good thing about that is they have the mixing code and can tell you what it can be changed to
