    Ceiling fan remote won't work
I put a hampton bay fan remote on my fan and it worked great for a long time. Today while I was gone the fan was turned on and my father in law tried to turn it off by the pull chain and now it won't work at all, what should my next step be? All it says in the manual (which is now missing thanks to my three year old) is that the fan should be set on high and left that way. So I put it on all three speeds and tried it on each one but without it working at all I don't know what speed its on. Any ideas please?

Remove the remote receiver, set it to high. Reinstall the receiver. If it still doesn't work, you need a new receiver.
