Not when you are 18, but honestly, that does not sound like a bright idea... You are going to move to a place where you will have to pay rent, pay for food, and other expenses. Think about it for a second, I am 21 years old and go to college at FSU, I have to pay for everything. If I didn't I would have a lot of money on hand. You can live at home and not pay for anything... Ask yourself, what happens when you and your boyfriend break up after moving to this place in FL? You are basically making a very risky move with very little future returns. If you don't take this advice I guarantee something will not go the way you want it to.

It doesn't sound like a very good idea, and it doesn't seem like you put much thought into. I agree absolutely with ich1baN. You can never be to sure of what's going to happen. You and your boyfriend might break up in the future, and have you planned for that to happen? The best idea is to stay where you live now, and finish off high school there. Of course you can go see him on holidays and such, but you should leave it at that.

To answer you're question, no, she can't. When you turn 18, you're a grown woman by law.

You're young, think it through and I think it's best to listen to your parents. Finish high school, then go from there. You could always just apply to all the colleges around him in FL.

I think it is wise to finish your school year in Texas.

You probably wouldn't finish if you went to Florida with your boyfriend. It will all be disctractions.

As appealing as Floridian life with your boyfriend is, you should be very conscious of the impact it will make on your life. Do not jeopardize your education. In this day and age education is uber important.

Finishing your year will get you a more stable education, hopefully please your mother and save you lots of money.

Living without the hospitalities that your parents provide is... difficult for anyone

What is your back-up plan for if/when this relationship goes south? You will be stuck there and have no one to turn to for help/support. Your mother will undoubtedly be pissed and reluctant to help after you pretty much ran off despite her wishes.

No she said today I can do it as long as I keep my grades up and my dad lives up there so I am good.
