    Arrested on Probation
I am 17. I was placed on probation on September 25th for a misdemeanor drinking citation and a misdemeanor altered ID citation. I was also placed on a 6 o clock curfew until I turn 18 on march 11. On November 2, I got arrested for stealing a credit card. I was fired from my job and sent to jail for two days until the judge let my father sign me out. I went to court a week ago for the final judgment and the judge gave me 6 mo unsupervised probation, 12 hours comm service and 601 dollars in fines. The day after that, my probation officer called me and said I have to appear before a judge because I violated my probation by getting arrested. What will the judge do? I am going to college in August at ECU and I have a job and a 3.4 gpa. What do you think he will do? Please respond :(

Well it is very likely you may get sent to some jail time on the original drinking, most likely a week or a few days, or it may be only a lecture by the judge.

You now have 3 crimes on your record

Yes I know and I am getting my life together. Why will they sentence me on the drinking though? That was half a year ago..

    Very possibly, yes.

As Fr Chuck said - this is your third strike.

Your GPA has little to do with a criminal record.

How are you getting your life together?

You may not be starting college when you think you will if the Judge decides you need to finish whatever sentence he imposes due to your VOP. When you have your violation of probation hearing, the judge will decide your fate.
