Me and my friend went out and had a really good night then we went to a nightclub they asked for ID which I had me passport and they made me pay to get in and they asked my friend for it and the other bouncer said she's fine she's come here with ID before so she paid so there we were drinking a few and minding our own business and the same bouncer comes up to us and said can you get to the door very aggressively and pulled me by my jacket so when we got to the door the bar maid who was serving us goes can I see your ID again so I got it out expecting nothing of it and she took one look at my picture and said there's no way that's you I was lucky to get it back and she asked my friend the same and she said she hadn't brought any but said that bouncer there let me in he even said I'm old enough and has seen my ID before but she said can you go now but I generally asked nicely if I could at least have my money back please haven't been here long but the cheeky cow said no can you f**k what I'm trying to say is is this right or can I get her and the bouncers done I think its apoling so does my friend but that's our opinion we just need to know if there's a way of us gettig jutice for this we paid a tenner to get in and its practically gone down the drain please help.

It would cost you most than $10 to fight this and considering the fines associated with serving alcohol to minor they had the right to ask you to be removed, they probably didn't handle the situation very nicely but I would swallow up the $10 loss, as it will be difficult to see any return on that.

We r both 18 but why let us in and send us out its just a money scam but what if my passport was taken off me what then

All I am saying is that it would be more costly to you to try and fight them. Your best chance may be to speak to the bar owner, but you probably won't be able to make much of a fight.

Pretty sure they could have just thrown you out because they didn't like your shoes... so you really don't have much of a fight to bring up.

Morally it's not right. Legally it is.

As far as "what if" you hadn't been given your passport back - the Courts don't deal with "what ifs."

Were you legal age to be drinking? That will also enter into things.

Not the least bit unusual for door people to let patrons in and bartenders refuse to serve, bartenders getting a closer look at the patron, having more interaction with them. And it's not against the law.

Happens all the time. My sister was out one night, using a fake ID. She got carded and OK'ed. Then a guy in her group had his driver's license confiscated by the bouncer because he insisted that it wasn't him. It's stupid, but that's the bar's prerogative. They don't have to let you stay.

But in all honesty, for $10? It's not even worth the headache. Now, had you actually had your passport confiscated, that would be different. But In my opinion, say goodbye to the $10 and move on.
