I've been off the pill for about a month and a half. Been having unprotected sex everyday since. I've been getting what I thought were pregnancy symptoms so I took a few tests,all negative. And then 3days ago my period comes. It was way different then usual,very light spotting so I thought it was the implantation thing but then it got heavier and I started getting cramps. Was wondering why am I not pregnant? I got pregnant a yr ago on the 3rd day of my period. So if I'm not already pregnant and I've had sex during my period now,when can I take a test to see if I do get pregnant?

Usually, the body takes a while to get adjusted to get off the pill. Usually, it's anywhere from 6 months to a year.

You're only a month and a half off the pill, so I suggest you give your body some time to adjust itself.

In addition, there is more to getting pregnant than just good timing. It takes many couples a year or so with active trying before they become pregnant. Some women will fall pregnant right away, others will take over a year, most will be somewhere in between. All of which is perfectly "normal".

Yes, and I know when we were trying to have ours, having sex everyday was a no no, the doctor wanted it only during the most fertile times

Chuck is right. You do not need to be having sex everyday. You need to keep track of your cycles, and then determine when your fertile time is, having sex then. After I came off the pill, I began to write down when my periods were, which allowed me to know how long my cycles is and better predict when I was fertile. It took us about 3 months of trying after going off the pill, I am now 3 months pregnant. Good Luck to you!
