    Saniflow48 macurator toilet
    Hi,

    I just purchased a saniflow48 macurator toilet that has a 1 1/2" waste pipe.
I have a 4" waste pipe 4' away that services an ajacent bathroom. Can I connect the 1 1/2 waste pipe into the 4" pipe and use the existing vent pipe or do I need another vent pipe for the saniflow toilet.

    Thank you,

    Hi Noviceatwork:

Check out this link... will get you to the instruction manual for sanicompact48:

http://www.saniflo.com/pdf/install/48_US.pdf (takes a minute to upload).

I read that the discharge pipe wants to reduce to 1" pvc out of the 1.25" rubber checkvalve elbow provided and connect into a 3" or larger PVC pipe by way of a TY... so 4" x 2" TY with a bushing reducer from 1.5" to 1" will allow you to connect to 4" main drain line.

I also did not read anything about a vent here. So recommend that you get the instructions that came with the unit or check out the link above for greater detail.

Let me know if you need to discuss this more...
