    Troubleshooting thermostat
    I have a honeywell thermostat 7000 series. Some how it is stuck on permanent hold! I do not know what to do! I have the book but makes no sense to me!! It is getting cold! Please help!

    Is this the lo-volt (furnace, heat pump) or line volt (electric strip heat) model? If the lo-volt model, to get heat, set it to heat and push the up arrow until the heat kicks in. Push the button under RUN PROGRAM and it should go off hold. Of course then it might revert to a preset temp lower than you want until you program it. I don't have time to research the line volt unit.

    Could you give the model number of the stat?. I'll make time to research it. And what are you controlling with it?

    Model number I can't find it! I have to look that up. But it is controlling my central heat and air! Thanks! I tried to research it but no luck for me.

    If you have a "use schedule" button... pressing it should get you back to the program, cancelling the permanent hold.
