    Accessing all accounts on PC
    Hello,

    I have a babysitter that has a login on our PC. I have reason to believe she may be going to not so great sites.

    How do I get access to her "login" when I don't know her password? I want to check history and know how to do that... but I can't guess her password.

    Let me know.

    The administrator (PC talk) has rights to everything. When you installed this PC, you were probably given administrative rights. Right-click on START then left-click on EXPLORE. This will display a directory of all the files on your computer. Locate her login name & left-click to open the sub-directories. Her HISTORY file will display the visited sites. If she was sharp enough to delete the history files before logging off then check the TEMP and COOKIES directory. This will give many clues.

    A babysitter would not have a user account with a password on your PC, something smells fishy here. As admin you should delete her user account.

    We have a laptop and I have my "login" symbol, my husband has one and the babysitter has hers.

    She is our friends, girlfriend and she watches our son every day. We created the account for her, because I wasn't giving her my password and my husband wasn't giving his out either. We had a "guest" icon but let her set that up.

    I didn't think it was a big deal. But, to be more specific so you don't think I am being "fishy"... I think she is cheating on our friend. I am convinced if I look at history I will see her on some websites that she shouldn't be on and so is my husband. So, we want to see and figure out if we should fire her and let her know that "we know".

    The Guest account should not have a password on it, it should be for the use of any non-family visitors. As an admin to your computer you can see all data in the Guest account by going to C:\documents and Settings\ and the Guest account should have a folder there.

    Ethically I don't like what you are doing but that's you're decision. She should not have free reign of your PC if you don't like what she does with it.
