Well things can very a little and September can be warmer:) and it has been known to snow in May:eek: ...LOL. That about sums it up. Last year it was unusually warm:D , but we do usually have lots of snow.
We don't mind!
Malta is a tiny speck on the map! Literally tiny. It's a small island.
Its situated just beneath Sicily. Sicily is beneath Italy!
Can you roughly picture it?
I would love to see snow. I saw abit of snow when I lived in england and also saw snow when I went on a holiday in sicily and went on Mount Etna.
Summers in Malta can get unbareable sometimes, with temperatures rising up to 40deg C.
Sorry ladies, I must admit when I can I LOVE shopping...
Shopping galore for me :D:D

We walked to school in blizzards and Whizz, the malls are always open no matter the weather, and all the females in my family would love to shop till they drop but thank goodness they run out of money (YOUR MONEY) first. The only stores I go into sell food or liquor.
Once I remember here in Malta schools closed for the day due to bad weather.
Althou its mainly sunny here, when it rains in Malta is rains.. the heavens open and my god it gushs downs so fast... and sometimes we do get tropical storms, with loud thunder and bright lightening. And due to this because we are not mostly prepared for it our roads floods.. it will be choatic!

Anyways, I do have a question it has bugged me for years, and mankind for centuries. How do women shop? I mean I have questions about life and stuff, but they are deep, philosophical, aristotle meets plato questions, but their is a few that have plagued me. One being shopping. For me, and I imagine most guys, it's a hell. I have hated it since I have been a little wizz. Honestly, it bothered and bothers the hell out of me. It starts before I even get there, just the architecture of the place gives me the most giant headache known to man. Then you get inside, and their is an aroma about the place that to me signals death. As soon as I get in there, I just wanna break down and cry, I am tearing up thinking about it now. I just wanna scream, and like these primal urges come over me and I need to find an escape. It doesn't really matter, who I go with, friends, girlfriend, mom, sister, family, or any combo, it is still doom to the wizz. I hate going into stores, the bright lights, the artificial air. The bags, the stalls, the shops. But worst, the people. OMG. The people, I feel like I am in a can of sardines. Everyone so close, so close. It's freaking me out right now. I don't know why, i just can't stand it. If I do need to go there, and trust me, I would really need to, I get in and get what I need, and leave, as quick as can be. In and out. I am positive, that if I go to hell, upon my arrival, I will be doomed to be stuck inside of a mall forever, and all they would play on the intercoms would be pro-feminism music, like sara mclogin, or melissa ethridge, or that canadian singer who has no idea what irony means.
I think its weird how the only people who responded to your question, were women who seem to dislike/hate or care very little about shopping. And to add to that, I to hate shopping.
I actually think you suffer from like some sort of shopping center phobia, or some phobia associated with feeling trapped, or stuck, or crowded. I to am the same way, I HATE feeling like Im in a can of sardines, and I have to stand around, and rub up against people, and I have to breath their same air, and it just grosses me out.
I hate bright lights because I feel insecure in bright settings, because I feel like people can see my dark circles (from lack of sleep and stress) and they can see my flaws (I don't know if I have any, but I sure do feel like I have them under bright lights.
I LOVE shopping for food, but only when Im starving... I think that makes sense. Im not shopping to stock up my fridge, Im shopping to feed my mind cravings... So I buy all this food, and then when Ive gone home and grub, and put away all the stuff I bought when Im not to fat to walk... then I realize that I really didn't need any of the things that I bought, and that I was "buying" with my eyes.
I HATE shopping for clothes, and I hate going to places like walkmart, and kmart. Even as a child I would always get dehydrated shopping, and I would get sick from the lights, and the smells, and the hard shiney fake tile floors, and the rows upon rows of clothes that have that new smell that makes me naucious.
I hate buying clothes because Im 5'8 and 112 lbs, and I can never find anything that long enough, and small enough to fit my body. So I just get frustrated and give up.
The way I shop is I go in a store, grab something I like, buy it and get the hell out of there. Half of the time I end up returning what I grabbed (and bought) and that just makes me angry, because its like a waste of time.
Well you've only heard responses from women who Don't like to shop. Hopefully someone who likes, or used to like shopping can write to you.
But you know what... I really don't think adult women like shopping... most of the time, they have to, because the men won't, and they need groceries, or detergent, or this and that. And because you always see women in stores you think they like to, but Im sure they hate it. Cause they have to buy the stuff, put the stuff in the car, and put the stuff away, and then they cook the stuff, or wash the stuff, or stock the stuff... not fun in any way.
I think what you meant is why do teenage, to young adults (females) love to shop. And the answer is, they are interested in fashion. They like to spend their daddies cash, they love to abuse the credit cards, and they love to sport and admire what they did buy. It's a never ending process... a young female can never get tired of new things... there's always a new style that she just has to have. And if she personally doesn't want it, then shell be made fun of for not being "in style" EVen the punk kids who claim no style... have a style, and its called punk.

Im 27 I'm not a teenager, mum is definitley not a teenager, my friends are all roughly my age!
We love to shop, I even enjoy window shopping!
I shop for my style of clothes I don't give a damn or follow the latest fashion, I have my own personal style! I don't shop because others would make fun of me, if I did it for that reason, I would be so sad!
I don't abuse my credit card on clothes, because I'm adult enough to know if I don't have the money I just don't shop, its as simple as that!

Yeah, mom my loves to shop, but I understand what you are saying nea. However, I was just trying to point out that the majority of women who shop is a lot larger than the majority of women who shop. I think there were always be differences, but I do believe that more women love to shop then men. I also believe that yeah, more teenage women, young women, shop maybe because they don't have families yet, and that is how they like to spend their time, like a hobby. I know the older women, don't necessarily have the finicial or time needs to shop like their younger counterparts, because they usually have families, which suck up their time. My question wasn't really a question, I get it, it was more of a rant than anything. I just hate shopping, I see some of you agree, and some don't, and that's great. I just wanted to share my point of view, and see other's points of view, so I can better understand them.
As far as my fashion, goes, I don't have one. Honestly I need the queer eye straight guy thing, I mean I keep clean, I use gel, but that's about where I stop the metrosexual thing. I grew up in the midwest, and around farmers, my dad's whole family farms, so I am use to blue jeans, white tees, and baseball hats. Which I guess I should step it up, because most californias, really do have a tendency to follow the whole metrosexual things, so I get the girls who don't like the metrosexual thing and want a guy who is more into car's than tan's, and sports than hair. That's just how I roll. It's more or less being indifferent. I guess you could say I am to lazy to change. It's just to easy being me.

I'm on the fence on the shopping thing... sometimes I love to and sometimes I hate to. I like to shop when nobody is at the mall and it's the off season. I hate christmas shopping. I hate the crowds, the people that are angry they have to be there, the over all commercial atmosphere. I don't like buying what everyone else does either. I hate following a trend. I hate that celebs have their own lines of things that people buy to be like them... that's just stupid, no two people are alike so why would I want to be anything other than me? Sorry think I went off on a tangent there... lol... Chalk it up to labor pains and pregnancy brain... yeah, that's it... hehehe

Well Whizz, I love shopping sometimes, but I am not one who can do it everyday. I enjoy shopping for others and it's fun to travel to another city and shop. I like different things. So I don't enjoy mall shopping. I get a bit closed in feeling in a mall anyway. Strip malls do not bother me as much. I just think most men unless it is homedepot or a tool store don't enjoy shopping at all.

Well, I for one love to shop. Though I am a Cancerian, home is everything to me. Not big on clothes shopping, but I do love to decorate my living space. I'm definitely the domestic one in the family. Love to cook as well. :)

I for one love Christmas shopping, but I like to do it earlier in the year to avoid the rush. Giving a gift gives me soooo much pleasure. I got my hubby a guitar a couple of months ago and he loves it and plays it a lot, it makes me feel so wonderful. There are many variables to my shopping, such as I am not a mall shopper, would rather never go there. I like things that are unique and enjoy that kind of looking. Now, my hubby can shop for tools etc and never tire, but if he sees a dress boutique, his back goes out:) Shopping is something I have little time for so rarely do, I have to be in the mood and I am a fast shopper and would rather do it alone. I do love book stores and thank goodness so does my mate.
Whizz, I think a lot of people do not like the confines of a mall, they are building a few more strip malls for that reason.
I have to admit it was fun flying to Seattle or San Francisco with a friend for a day or 2 of shopping and lunches when I was in the 9 to 5 work force.")
