Afraid of Violation on 2yr Unsupervised Probation
Ilive in Maryland. In 2007, I was sentenced to 2 years unsupervised probation with conditions that included "obeying all laws and "not to leave the state without permission". Another conditon was that there would be a record check at the end. Over the holiday, while visiting family in North Carolina I got a speeding ticket. In Nov 2009, will the speeding ticket be on my record and if so will I be violated.

Yes, the ticket will be on your record and you will have broken probation both by leaving the State without permission and, of course, speeding.

You could be violated. You could be sentenced. You could be warned. You could get a second chance. I would be more concerned about leaving the State than the speeding ticket.

You violated the terms of the first probation so would they trust you to continue on probation? Depends on the PO's recommendation and the Judge.

For the record they don't keep very good track in between counties within states yet alone state to state. I know this is expired but for future peple reading this I want you to know. Keep your mouth shut at both court houses about your probabtion and speeding ticket. My friend got a possession/paraphinelia ticket while on probabtion two counties away and they never found out at either place because he kept quite. That's my advice.
