    Altima noise
I have a 1997 Nissan Altima, 5-speed with 165,000 miles. The car has started making a "wah wha wha" noise that begins around 20-25 mph and gets faster as car goes faster. It is especially loud when the car is under heavy acceleration. When I let off the gas, the noise almost completely disappears. When I push in clutch, it also goes away. Overall the noise is getting louder overall as time passes.

I have owned the car since new and it has been well maintained. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
