    w-2 from unemployement
    When do you get them from unemployement? And can I get it off the internet?

    Will depend on the country you are from? US?
    And if US what state.
    If your state allowed you to file online, check online for your account and see if there is a note about the W2.

    Also in most cases if you have your last check stub that has all of that info. Many states are very very slow getting them out.

    You do NOT get a w-2 for unemployment.

    You get a Form 1099-G, which is issued by your state labor department.

    Most states have a means to access these form on-line. Check out the Department of Labor part of the state govermnent website.

    On the federal tax return, the unemployement compensation is income. For state, check at the state website.
