    How should I file
I have been working odd and end jobs, cleaning houses for friends, and doing office work at home to get money up this year. I am a full time student that had a lot of grants and loans. I have to file taxes in order to qualify for next year college. I have 2 dependants in which I am solely responsibly for.
Do I total all the wages I received even if I do not have w2's or 1099 from anyone? Can I deduct all the office equiptment I purchased? Would I still qualify for earned ncome credit? I am truly confused how to file and what forms to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, this is yourself employed income and you must file tax return if income is $400 or more. You can deduct business related expenses. For you it is better to file, as you will get EIC (may be around $4000).

You will report your income and expenses on schedule C or C-EZ (Form 1040). This income is subject to SE tax at 15.3%. Read: Your U.S. Tax Return: Tax Filing by Self Employed Sole Proprietor or Independent Contractor

    You need professional tax help!

The Form 1040 by itself is not too bad to prepare, especially with tax software, but Schedule C and SE are NOT for amateurs.
