    Non resident taxes info
    I currently live in Texas and work for a company that does a lot of work in states that take state taxes out of my check... how do I go about getting some or all of that money back at tax time please help me:confused:

    If taxes from more than one state are being taken out of your paycheck you likely worked in those states and likely have a filing obligation in those states. When you file you tax return in those states you may get a refund or may owe additional tax.

    If you are part year resident of a state and work there, you must report that income to the state.

    And even if you are a nonresident of the state and you work there you must report that income to the state.
