    Want to stop judgement
I have a collection company (Asset Acceptance LLC) putting a judgement on me after a stipulation was agreed to. But due to financial difficulties two of the payments have been returned for NSF because they automatically ran checks on a certain date. They have not tried to contact me to see what has happened.. I have paid 1200 of the 3000 debt and they are going after me for 1800 at 11% interest. How can I stop this? Should I contact them or what? Please Help.

You can always contact them and explain whatever the situation is, why you didn't have sufficient funds, but because there's a stipulation in place you cannot stop the Judgment from being filed. They have no obligation to contact you, particularly after TWO payments were NSF. At this point I'm sure they don't trust you.

Also, they may just get the Judgment and not move on it, hold it to see what happens next.

I see no harm in contacting them and it might be helpful but at this point they have the upper hand in this.

Get an attorney - NOW. Asset Acceptance is a crooked collection company; I've dealt with them in the past for someone. They kept renewing the SOL when no payment or acknowledgement of the account had been made. They also reported to the credit bureau that the account was unpaid and past due when it had been settled in full.

Hopefully, you got the agreement in writing.
