My partner and I recently had a domestic partnership. We have a certificate stating this. My question is, I would like to change my last name to my partners. We received our partnership in the state of Missouri. I would like to know how I go about changing my last name. Is there a web site that could help me or do I need a attorney?

I do believe you can go to the place where they would issue a copy of your birth certificate and apply for a name change.

They are done at the court house, you merely request it. I do not believe there is any reason to give a reason for it.
