Reverse direction on Hampton Bay fans with remotes
I have moved into a home with two Hampton Bay fans installed in a 20 foot ceiling. The fans are copper in color and have thermostat lights on the top and bottom. The remote is UC7080T. All the fan speeds and lights work fine but I cannot figure out how to reverse the fan direction for the winter months. The heat in the room is staying at the ceiling but using the fans in the forward mode is uncomfortable. I have no way to reach the fan to see if there is a reverse switch. Is there a way to reverse with the remote control even though the remote does not have a reverse button? There is an unlabelled button in the center of the other buttons which does not appear to do anything.

If the remotes do not have a reverse button then the reverse should be somewhere on the fan.

HOWEVER on a 20' ceiling I would suggest using the fans on FORWARD and LOW during the winter, it will be more effective than reverse.

The actual manufacturer of the Hampton Bay fans is King of Fans. Their 800 number is: 1-800-3303267. You may be able to get an answer from them.

King of Fans makes SOME of Hampton Bay fans. We have a list of numbers for them in our sticky.
