How do I connect my dvd to my TV have cable

You have to go through your converter. If it isn't that kind, then there are two outlets on the back of your TV, one for DVD and on for TV. Get your manual out and read it.

If you have only cable in on TV, and no coax out on DVD, you need a modulator, it converts red, white and yellow(composite video) to channel 3 or 4.
