    Probation violation?
My son is on unsupervised probation, is it violating his probation by hanging out with a friend who is also on unsupervised probation (both unrelated crimes)?

No! Just because they are on probation doesn't mean they can't still see each other! Trust me!!

This is a legal board. You continue to post incorrect and misleading information which people may believe. "Trust me" is not proof that what you say is true.

If the question is can people on probation sneak around and see each other, you are correct.

If the question is whether it's a probation violation, you are wrong.

I meant to DISAGREE with you and hit the wrong choice.

This is a direct violation of probation rules and both can sit in jail for this. I had a friend who was on probation and her live in boyfriend for 15 years was a felon. She ended up being violated as she insisted he continue to live with her even after her PO told her to have him move out or be violated and sit in jail... so knowing it all she ended up in jail for 3 months.

I'm sorry, but your "trust me" is not a legal answer on a legal board. Please cease using such terms here as the person who takes your misguided "advice" may just end up in jail due to it.
