Playing bass -- use a pick or not
I am just learning to play bass guitar. Is it better to use a pick or not? Is it just a matter of personal preference? Does it affect the ability to play?

    Thanks in advance!

Noo, pick is if you play it a lot... but just for practicing I do not suggest you to use it

    Hi, New Bass Player!

A person who plays electric bass can use either the fingers or a pick. It depends on the tone quality that's desired. I much prefer to use my fingers because it's easier to be more accurate in plucking the strings that way. If a person's going to play with a pick, then they need to be practicing with a pick.

    Thanks!

Hi, I'll admit I was being silly. My next door neighbour has appalling taste in music so I was trying to drown it out with a bit (okay a lot) of Velvet Revolver when suddenly... the bass in BOTH speakers went. I'm not very knowledgeable about things like this but I do know that those speakers...

The Bangles bass player [ 1 Answers ]

The bass player for the bangles from the early 80's to 2005 was Michael Steele. I've never heard her name spoken out loud, and I would like to know how it is pronounced. Is it Mike-All or Mick-Kay-All? Also, I'd like to know why she left the band in 2005. Thank you.
