    Tax refund amounts
I am fully disabled(and over 21) and my payee's are My Mother and Father.
Each year they claim me on their taxes.. I asked, out of curiousity, how much they received for me. It was said.. "only a couple hundred dollars".

Don't get me wrong, I am grateful they are able to help me and I am grateful that I can give them what I have, not that they are hurting but it seems appropriate.

Moving on... How can I find out exactly what they get for me without me having to press them for an exact amount. I do not want to stir up a mess, by the same token I feel like I must know.
    Thanks in Advance

They did not "receive anything" for you. What did happen is that they paid less in taxes because they had you to support. The amount they paid is unlikely to have come close to compensating them for what they paid in supporting you.

Also there is no way for anyone but their tax preparer to figure out how much more they would have paid without claiming you.

I would drop this line of thinking.

It depends on which tax bracket they are in, and in which state they live (to determine the state tax benefit).

If they are in the 15% tax bracket, their tax is reduced by $525 by claiming you as a dependent. I suspect this is the accurate number.

If they are in the 35% tax bracket, their tax is reduced by $875 by claiming you as a dependent.
