Asking an EX on a date.
Ok, I want some opinions here. I was wondering if it would be "ok" to ask an EX on a date. Considering you two ended on good terms. And, it has been months of no contact.

Why would you want to? You two are ex's for a reason. But if you want to its up to you but be prepared for your ex not wanting to.

If you had months of no contact you don't know whether she is seeing someone?

Why do you want to go a date with her? Are you fishing to try to get back with her?

You can always try to ask her on a date as long as you are certain she is not with somebody else. If your previous relationship was long term and you did break up as you said with good words, maybe you can get back together. Good luck:)

Considering she ISN'T seeing someone at the moment. Is it justified?

I agree with those above! Why do you want to break NC now? I'm a little confused. You said considering "you two" left on good terms. Who are "you two?" You broke up for a reason. Do you really want to go back to square one, and put yourself through the misery all over again?

I always go with an Ex is an Ex for a reason, even if you split as good friends there is something that made you both or one party call the relationship a day.

It could also be viewed that you could be seen in there eyes as leading them on, or sending them wrong signals.

If you really think that the terms of breaking up were not that bad and you still get along why not just first simply ask her out for a coffee, lunch, McDonalds, or some simple afternoon thing that doesn't feel like a date. Then take it from there.

I say absolutely not. I think you just want an excuse to see if they miss you, and maybe get back together, as why in the world would any one think that whatever broke you up, has been resolved??

Yep it is not as simple as getting back together. You have to resolve issues or they will still be there no matter how minor you think they were. Like my old boyfriend says he is sorry and wants back together. I tell him you don't even know what it is you are sorry for so how can it work if you don't even understand what needs fixed.
Sorry doesn't cut it, it takes much more.
My kids use to smack each other and then think sorry should solve the problem. It doesn't work like that. You have to resolve the issues and know what caused the break up or history WILL repeat itself.
