You we used to feed him a small meal in the morning and a larger one in the afternoon until he started pooping so much.
Should I go back to purina beneful? Or any other suggestions? We can't afford anything really expensive though.

There are many good dog foods on the market, I don't actually know much about purnia beneful. If you do decide to switch, you have to do it slowly, half old food, half new food for a few days, and then continue to mix with less of the old food daily until you switch completely to the new food. If you just switch without mixing it can cause stomach problems.
I'll send a PM to Starby, she has her dog on a very good dog food that delivers to your door and is very inexpensive.
Just keep up the positive reinforcement, your dog will learn, I've never had a dog that couldn't be housebroken.

You're welcome. I've sent her a PM but I don't know if she's online. Check back often, I know she'll come here when she has time. :)

What country do you live in JC? There is a new company that makes awesome dog food. It has zero filler, and just a ton of nutrients and supplements that are essential for the health of your pup. It is close to the same price as Beneful, but 100 times better. You have a small breed so a 4kg bag (I believe that is about 10-12 lbs) would last your dog for ages! A 4kg bag is $22 bucks, and so much better for your dog. You will find that he won't poop as much either.
I'm in Canada, and here they deliver it right to your door for no charge. I believe you may have to have it sent to you if you are in the states, or elsewhere. I'll give you the link to their website anyway. I'm not sure it will help, but maybe it will convince your parents that there are some really good brands of food that don't cost more than a couple dollars more than the others. The cheaper food with all of the fillers is bad for them in the long run, and will end up costing more in vet bills. So, a good quality food actually saves them money!
Here's the link for you take a look at.

Also, if you are interested, and if you are in the States, my sister buys a really good inexpensive organic food. She lives in the States, and I could ask her what brand it is she uses when I get a chance.

Thanks! I live in the states. I'll check to see if they have that dog food that you told me about in the U.S. And if you could let me know what your sis uses, please let me know too! Thanks so much!

That's really too bad that it's not available there. I'm pretty sure you could have it delivered, but that would probably cost you another $10 shipping chrgs.
I did some research though, and I found this food that seems quite good, and the prices look pretty inexpensive. Now whether you have a distributor close to you, I don't know since I don't know your State.
Check it out. Here's the link, and hope it helps. :)
