Is waiving rights to child support reversible is your situation drastically changes?
I signed a divorce decree which my lawyer waived spousal and child support based on gainful employment and sufficient property. At the time my income was high in comparison to my ex. I then was disabled and my situation has drastically changed. My lawyer apparently didn't do a good job of protecting my children's welfare or rights. I am now in need of support and my ex doesn't feel he should pay based on this decree. Is there a family attorney or someone who has been through this experience who can give me some legal advice or where to find it on the internet. I am in bucks county, PA. Also, because I get child support for Social Security Disablility they are saying my ex doesn't have to pay much even though my mortgage is almost my entire disability amount. Is there anything I can do about that. He has his own business and hides a lot of his income with write offs.

    Thanks for your help

Your Lawyer can't waive your spousal/child support - only you can.

You have to go back to Court and plead drastically changed circumstances, prove the circumstances, get a new Court Order for support. If you know he is hiding income, bring proof of that, also.

Social Security should not be giving you legal advice concerning child support.
