Minimal hot water from kitchen faucet
I have a single handle moen faucet in the kitchen that delivers luke warm water. I checked for blockage in the line and things look OK. Water pressure is also OK, just lack of hot water. All other faucets on that hot water line do have hot water. I had a similar problem with the moen shower faucet, and discovered a restrictor dial behind the handle and face plate, once I turned the circular dial to the left all was good and my hot water came through. I don't see how I can remove the kitchen handle to check for the same problem, is there a restrictor in kitchen handles as well? Any other ideas why therre is warm water only?

Ive never seen a adjustable ring on moen kitchen sink faucets. My first guess would be the cartridge itself. You can call moen and request a new cartridge for free. (moen lifetime warranty). Hopefully one of the other pros here will post a pic as to where the allen screw is on your handle. Its either on top under a pop off cover, or in front under a pop out cover.

Do you have to remove the faucet from the counter top to gain access to the cartidge? Or can it be pulled out from above?

I have a simple suggestion for you to try before you change the cartridge. Turn off one of the faucets going to the washing machine. Most washing machines are close to the kitchen sink and I am thinking that it could be possible that you have a bad water valve in the washer and you are getting some of your hot water through the washing machine valve.

If this does solve your problem you will need a water valve for the washing machine.
If it does not stop the problem, then it is probably, like they told you above, that the cartridge need replacing. It is not easy to change and it is possible that you might need a puller to get the cartridge out of the faucet.
Some stores will let you use one if you buy your product from them.

You do not have to pull the faucet to replace the cartridge.

No you don't need to remove the faucet assembly, the cartrtridge can be removed from the top, by removing the handle the spout, see the image below, if this is not your faucet please post the Model Number or a picture of your faucet.

If you are ready to replace the cartridge make sure to close the hot and cold angle valves under the sink, Thanks.

I tired shutting off the hot water on washer with no change. I cannot find the set screw to remove the faucet handle, unless it is behind the permanently glued moen logo. I tried including a picture for you hope it works. Don't know the exact model because it is 5 years old now.
