    Marrrying in US
    Hi I need some advice I am planning to come to the US under the visa waiver program (if successful) in may 09. If we marry (not saying we are going to ) but if by chance we marry whilst I am there on the visa waiver program can we apply straight away for the spouse visa??

    Not that easy... when you enter US on visa waiver, you are not allowed to get married and file for adjustment of status. You need to go through channel like everyone else... have your spouse filed immigrant visa while you return and wait for visa in your country.

    The only chance to get married on visa waiver program is to have an attorney filed a waiver to immigration.. you must have strong supported reasons they should allow you not to return to your home country. In the past, it was not that difficult but now, it's not easy at all.

    Hi thanks just found out I cannot apply under the visa waiver program as I had a conviction off 12 years ago, I am 28 now, so I have to apply for a visa so can I marry on a regular visa
