Past experience in childhood relating to decisions I'm making now
A friend recently got in touch with me from my old neighborhood where I lived from age 6 to about 11. I haven't even thought about that time in my life for so long. But talking to her really brought back memories and it got me thinking. Those are really important developmental years in a persons life and maybe some of the reasons that I make certain decisions are because of those experiences. So it got me thinking of hypnosis and if it really works. Can therapies like that really help and tap into those life lessons that went wrong and try to work those out? Has anyone ever been through hypnosis? I think it would be interesting in my life because I moved around a lot and I lost touch with a lot of people in my life. I feel like nobody really knows me and it was comforting to me to think about those happy times and feel comfortable again because I know that it was a time when I was the most myself. Not worrying and not having all these bad experiences to taint me over the years. I'm looking for me basically and it seems close yet so far away.

Connections to your childhood are important. Is there any possibility of developing a new friendship with this woman who contacted you?

I've never experienced hypnosis, but I've read a lot of positive things about it. I think you should try to find a certified therapist that uses hypnosis as part of the treatment.
