My GE dryer is approximately 3-5 years old and it has a high pitched squeak. How can I fix this myself and not hire someone who will charge me an outrageous price?

If you do a search on this board this has been discussed many times. You have to disassemble the unit and lubricate the moving parts/bearings/etc.

Can I do this myself? Could you give me instructions how? My son needs braces and I needs to be as thrifty as possible>

I have no idea if you can do it yourself but some people did. You will need tools and know how to use them. You will need parts and know how to get them also.

If you will post your EXACT model number I can get you to a parts page.
