    Name Change on passport
    I want to change my first name on my passport. On My Birth Certificate My First Name is spelled with a "G" On all my other papers license social security card etc. it is spelled with an "H". When I applied for my passport I Had my passport sent to me with the "G" Spelling Showing My License as ID With The "H" spelling on it.

    Now my question is can I ask to have my passport changed to use the Letter "H" on It when I renew it.

    On the passport figures your official name, as it is written in the files of the place of your birth. If your passport is wrong, ask the authorities to correct it.
    If it is correct but you don't like it, there's not much that you can do about it.
