    Whirlpool dryer
    I have a whirlpool dryer model #lgn2000kq0. I am getting no heat. I have replaced the ignitor, but it doesn't glow. I suspect that maybe there is no power to the ignitor. If that is the case what would be a logical solution.

    As you can see from the catalogue imags here there are many parts that can cause the burner not to come on.

    Part Advantage :: Category Search

    There is a safety switch attached to the motor that will pervent the burner from activating,Timer,the coils on the gas valve and a few others. These parts need to be tested in order to find out which one is cusing the problem. I will admit that most of the time the ignitor you replaced is the problem part but in this case you will have to dig further or call for a On Site service call to find the problem.

    You can start by back tracking from the ignitor to see where the voltage source is stopped.
