    Hot Water Heater Issues
The internal breaker on my hot water heater keeps tripping (the red button under the panel). It doesn't pop the main circuit breaker at the panel though. This will happen every few days. I have noticed recently that when it pops there is a discharge of water from the hot water heater, although I have not witnessed this, it is evident by the pool of water on the floor. Probably about a gallon. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the thermostats are either set too high,( 120 F. is the factory setting) or they may be faulty and calling for heat until the Button pops out. Since they are so inexpensive I would opt to replace both the upper and lower thermostats. Go wire for wire to wire them in. Good luck, Tom,
