Don't worry about spreading germs. I have always had a great immune system. Even missed out on all the childhood diseases. I end up taking care of all my friends as I am the one that stays healthy. I'll pick up the chicken soup on the way. Oh and a BIG box of kleenex.

She is one hell of a driver. This is the second time she saved our butts fron death or bad injury. She credits her high school drivers safety teacher. He must have been awesome!

Are you feeling better KRS, boy that was some chicken soup. I may fake ill to get some of that.
For lunch lets have cool stuff, fruits and salads. Someone gave me some pineapple they brought back from Hawaii. Some cottage cheese anyone. I'll make a great fruit salad. I have to tell you though, when I make a fruit salad I sort of have a tendency to eat the heart of the watermelon.:o Oh and hot sauce for the cottage cheese

OMG COLDS SUCK. It's really really isn't fun, hope you are feeling better krs. Growing up, I had like pneuomnia for like five straight years, throw in a double pneuomnia every now and again. It was becaused I used to live in South Dakota and it would be like negative 10 and I would be the silly kid running around in the snow without a jacket. Apparently they restricted my ability to make the perfect snowangel. Eitherway I brutally paid for it. Thankfully I moved to California, and now I usually get about one small cold a year, or none at all. Life is good. But I would recommend for foods to eat when you have a cold. Pizza. I know, I know, I know, it sounds stupid, however usually pizza has a ton of nutrients in it, you don't have to cook it, I order mine, and who doesn't like PIZZA! The only downside to my theory is if you lose your tasting ability, because that happens to me sometimes when I get a cold. And it really really pisses me off. Flip side to that however is you don't want to eat. Usually I don't eat when I can't taste, because it's just this boring motonous thing and I want to sleep. Either way, if you can taste order pizza, I am serious it will help, unless you don't like pizza, which then we have a whole new set of problems.

El Pato, The Duck has been my taco sauce of choice for 45 years. Made in LA where people know tacos, there is none better. Next time you enjoy your favorite Mexican food, try El Pato, The Duck. You'll be glad you did!

Ever try the green can of "El Pato" sauce with scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes and cheese?? WOW!

As for lunch, a fruit salad sounds great, throw in a few nuts and some sprigs of spinach and basil.. awesome.

I make a concoction called Machaca. It is Scrambled eggs, roast beef, (leftover heated) cheese, fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and onions with some cilantro thrown on for good measure. I use the Green Duck for that. Oh yea, hot flour tortillas to scoop it up and shovel it in with! Oh my, talk about a hearty breakfast.:p
Fresh jalapinos too add just a touch of fire.

Forgive me Jay, this isn't a snooty english lesson or a pseudo spelling bee but its scotch bonnet, just in case anyone wants to do a little cyber research or ask for them at their local market... and you're right, they are the volcanos of hot peppers, ey yi yi!

Besides, I wouldn't want our local Scottgem thinking we thought he'd taken up cross dressing too. :p

Well, I love all this food, but I got to start a diet now. I just got back from the doc, I had to have my Nursing School physical, and I have gained 20 pounds!

I have never weighed this much in my LIFE!!

I am up to 134, it really sucks. Also, got to stay off the salt, BP was quite high today.

So, what can we have that is low in salt.

I know, stay away from the Pepsi, that one might be hard though.

I will say this one thing, one of the best things about living in California, is the mexican food. Some of these restaurants are just amazing. The only downside is that you have to live with sushi bars. YUCK! If meat doesn't touch heat, than I don't eat.
