Heat strips staying on without 24 volts connected
I can't not figure out what is causing my heat strips to stay on. I have removed the t-stat wires and the condsener wires from the air handler. Changed out the fan relay and the heat squenser, but when I put disconnect back in the strips still come back on.

I believe that the limit switch's will break the cycle only when it reaches the high limit, so I don't think that it's that. Not sure of the air handler name might be goodman, but that's a guess.
    Any ideas would be welcomed.

Either something is wired wrong, or a broken heater string is touching ground and powering on one line.

Heat strips [ 3 Answers ]

New heat strips were installed on a Goodman package h.p. and the strips were not working. There was 240v going to the strips and 24v to and from the t-stat. What could be the problem?
