    Electric, amp service
I have a Mobile Home, 14X70, just moved it onto my property. It was equipped with gas service, no gas here. I installed an Electric furnace that has 2-60 amp breakers in it, I have 100amp service here. Works fine, breakers/wires not getting hot, should I upgrade to 200amps? Will the 100amp service use more KWH, since the double 60amp=120amps?

"two 60A linked breakers", bar between them, is a 60 A at 240 volt breaker.

A service upgrade may be in order. Only a load calc will tell.

Just to clarify, with an electric furnace, it is common to see 2 full size two pole 60 amp circuit breakers.

Need to know that total KW or amp draw of the furnace, plus any other major electric appliances. You may be on the edge of needing a 200 amp service because of the furnace.
