Change how you spend your time. Only sit in the computer or game chair for half as long as you'd like. Get outside and walk. Meet people and practice your social skills.

Use your computer skills to design an diet and exercise program for yourself. Clean the bathroom you normally use on a weekly basis, do your own laundry, if you don't already. You have a good brain! Learn how to live. Talk to others about things that they're interested in, learn about their stuff.

Coming from an IT major and a Halo 3 finatic. I completely agree with the guy above. Sitting at home on your PC, XBOX, PS3 etc... will make you feel dark and alone and miserable sometimes. Being socially active even if it's going to the local Walmart and chatting it up with some randoms will greatly improve your self-confidence.

Self-confidence is the only thing that separates that "cool guy" and "us geeks". Know what you're good at and be confident with it. Calling yourself fat and geeky doesn't sound like a good start, just work on some reassurance and your confidence and don't be scared!

    Hope this helps!

Not sure you can ever ask another girl out when you consider yourself a "fat geek." It just oozes a lack of self confidence, which prohibits girls from liking you (usually).

Geeks will some day rule the world, you are what you are, and find people who love that.

In high school they want to date the football hero, by Senior year in college, that geek who will be getting a 200,000 year salary while the football star is pumping gas at dads service station looks a lot better.

Why settle for average? Why not shoot for above average? See if you can find classes that a woman might be interested in. Cooking classes are always good because you get to meet new people (possibly women) AND you gain a skill that you can use to impress women. Having a guy cook for us... that's SO romantic. Especially if its not something out of a can like Manwich.

How about a sewing class? Photography? Scrapbooking? Add a creative dimension to your brainy side.

The biggest thing I notice when listening to you talk about this situation is you don't seem to have much self-confidence, if you go into a situation expecting rejection and failure there is a great chance that is what will happen. Like I said before now who you are and what you like and be confident in anything you do, find the girls who are interested in some of the things you do, you like to play XBOX go to some tournements. Girls play too! You like computers, go to libraries!!

The biggest thing is to be confident I am not sure how much I can stress this! Girls notice it when a guy is shy and not confident so stand out, not in a pink suit kind of way but I think you know where I am going with this.

As far as the sewing classes and cooking classes, don't do that unless you like to sew and cook. If you're in the class and you could careless about how to make Spicy Parmesan Chicken te surrounding people will be able to notice and no one wants someone who is willing to do things that don't interest them just to get a phone number.

    Hope this helps!

You aren't doing them to get a phone number, especially a cooking class. It's called broadening your horizons. You aren't going there to hit on people, you're going there to learn something new, something you can apply not only to relationships but to life in general. You're right, when you aren't into it people will notice. I wasn't into a few of the things my husband thought were fun when we first met. Now I enjoy joining him in his hobbies sometimes to get some quality time together. Excitement can be infectious and someone you meet who has never played video games might be interested in learning if you're willing to teach them. Open up your pool of potential dates by finding social activities to occupy some of your time. It doesn't have to be cooking and sewing, it could be rock climbing and skiing. When you open your mind to possibilities you never would have considered then your possibilities become endless.

Fat geeks were always attractive to me. It's just that going out with them frequently illustrates that they don't know how to show interest in subjects they aren't immersed in.

So get up and go out. There are girls looking for you who won't find you if you stay in your cave.

BUILD UP YOUR CONFIDENCE. Girls love a guy with confidence. Stop calling yourself a fat geek and a nerd. Those are horrible things to say about yourself.
