    Extreme Swollen Tongue?
My mother has a swollen tongue and it just happened over night. The tongue is swollen to the point where she can barely talk. This is not the first time this has happened but it is the worst definitely over the last few months she has gotten a swollen tongue and ankle periodically and then mysteriously went away so she thought nothing of it, but this time it is bad and I would just like to ask your for yor advice. - THANK YOU

    Hi, JohnGiampapa251!

Have you or she ever gotten a doctor's opinion concerning this? If it's something serious and of great concern, that would seem the best thing to do. On this site, we can only make guesses as to what might be happening. True that some of the guesses might come from experience coupled with knowledge, but, nonetheless, just guesses.

Best that she gets to a doctor as soon as possible. There's no substitute for the personal, physical examination that can be done by a physician if it's something other than what you could put a bandage on and you know that it would heal.

    Thanks!
