I had a nice belly at five weeks. It should even out. It doesn't mean you will be real big. I see some girls that don't show until they are like 4 months. We are all different.

Congrats Crissy. As for me I guess I will have to be patient but from now on Im not going to think about it, if I am not pregnant I am just stopping my period with all the stress. For all those trying to conceive I found something out today in case you did not know. You ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period, so get to it if you want a baby. It is harder for me because my husband is gone all the time working. He came in for about a month and left on the 21st of November so I can't be trying as much as I would like. But if I get my period I am going to be very careful in writing down exactly when I got it and everything. K WELL KEEP US UPDATED CRISSY!

Wonder, I think that is a great idea! I have learned that the mind is such a powerful things and our body falls in line to it's demands. At any rate, confess fruitfulness over your body and it will be fruitful.
I will keep everyone updated. Next month, I will be going to the doctor. I really want to try to work with a small birthing center or community hospital so that I can have a more personalized and natural birthing experience. I'm really into the whole alternative medicine thing already so I think a midwife would be great. I've got a lot to learn about all of this stuff though.

While many women will ovulate midcycle like that, the 14 day ovulation works based on a 28 day cycle. Not everyone follows that norm however. A better guide would be to consider 12-16 days before your next period is due, regardless of the length of the cycle. For those who have irregular cycles a starting place would be to take 11 days from your longest cycle and 18 days from your shortest. This time frame would be the most likely time of being fertile. The challenge is that not everyone falls within the norm. Some women will naturally ovulate sooner or later than what is considered average.
Getting to know your body well, and determining when you are most likely to be your most fertile, is key. The numbers give you a starting place, but women have to watch for other signs as well. Basing the timing of sex just on those average numbers will cause some couples to miss out completely. For example: if a woman has a 28 day cycle, but tends to ovulate around day 10, focusing the timing of sex at days 12-14 would be too late.
Also important to remember, timing is just one element in the picture. Several other functions have to working in unison to achieve a pregnancy. Any one of those being off in a particular cycle, timing won't matter that round. This is partly why it takes many healthy couples quite a bit of time to become pregnant.

Well then I'm guessing if you want to get pregnant try every single day? Just to be sure. I do understand what you are saying everybody is different I guess what the doctor told me is just like some cases but of course not all. What do you think about missing your period for so long though I did not get it last month which is a lot to me I actually took a blood test yesterday and negative. They said that since I was just barely on the 10th day of the last day I had unprotected sex it might not sense the hcg yet. So if I don't get my period in 2 weeks I have to go again and take another test which is very painful. Do you think it can be something more serious?

Yes, the idea of ovulating the 14th day from the first day of your period is the average, based on the average 28 day cycle, but focusing too much on just one day, especially since the egg is only viable for about 24 hours with the first half of that thought to be the optimum, can really throw many couples off the mark.
For some couples, sex everyday works just fine. For others, every other day or every third day is more feasible and/or realistic. Unless there is a known concern with sperm count, frequent sex is not an issue for most couples... and may be a good idea several days leading up to ovulation to insure a better quality of sperm. Sperm count many go down a bit over those few days, but not enough to effect chances of pregnancy given the sheer numbers in any one ejaculate... but it may insure healthier sperm at the right time.
Skipping a period once in awhile happens and a reason won't always be determined. Some doctors won't even worry about a pregnancy test until you have missed two periods in a row for that very reason. I'd just wait and see what happens when another period is due and test at that time if need be.

Wonder, follow Doula's advice. She is the expert. I would not know what to tell you. I've only missed a period once, when my best friend missed hers and I was really stressed. Then, now, when I actually did get pregnant, but it showed on a hpt right away... getting a darker line every couple days during the week my period should have come. We can absorb stress in our bodies and not even conceive it in our minds.

My fiancé mesured my belly in the pm because it was more convient but your doctor will do it at every visit too.
With this pregnancy I had a stomach mold done, a 3D unltrasound, a teddy bear with my baby heartbeart, I kept track of the first time I felt the baby kick, things like that. Also, each month I took pictures of my belly for the scrapbook.

It would make it harder if you didn't ovulate as well, but there is no way to really know whether that is the case or not.
Keep trying on a fairly frequent basis, but try to keep it enjoyable and not a chore... see what happens when your next period would be due. If still no period, see your doctor about another pregnancy test... perhaps a quantitative one which would measure the level of hcg.

Help! I am 8 weeks, haven't been to the docotor yet, my first appointment will be in January. I started at 135lbs (gained about 8lbs prior to getting pregnant because I wasn't able to maintain my normal diet due to moving around.) At any rate, I now weight 149LBS! My boobs went from a 34 DD to a 34 DDD! I'm wearing sportsbras cause they're just too big, my butt is bigger and my stomach is already showing! I can still wear my normal clothes, but I just can't button my pants, so I have tuck the flaps in. I don't understand! I've been so hungry and I only eat healthy things, not icecream and cake and chips. I eat real food and snack on applesauce, crackers, and cheese. I don't get it! Am I gaining too much weight? How do I slow it down? I read that I should only gain 6lbs in the first three months and it's only been 2 months and I've gained like 14LBS! What do I do?

Keep eating healthy choices, but also watch how much you are eating. Even many healthy choices can cause you to take in too much sugar and fats if you are eating too much of them. Try and go for a walk each day... get in the habit of regular exercise. You don't want to diet during pregnancy, but you can certainly watch your intake and make sure it is reasonable.
Maybe keep track of everything you eat and drink, and the amount, over several days and see how much you may or may not really be taking in.
Appetites tend to fluctuate during pregnancy for many women... sometimes eating quite a bit, other times not as much, or very little.
